JW Marriott Hotel Marina
AL MARSA STREET, 66, DUBAI MARINA, 32923 Dubai, United Arab Emirates
What to expect
This is a polished, upscale marina hotel with direct access to Dubai Marina Mall and a strong leisure focus. Guests frequently praise the helpful staff, attractive views, pool, gym, cleanliness and convenient setting. Room types range from standard king or twin rooms to suites with sofa beds and larger family-oriented layouts. The overall atmosphere is lively, luxurious and especially convenient for shopping, dining and sightseeing.
Rooms are generally described as spacious, clean and comfortable, with marina or city views, balconies in selected categories, air conditioning, premium bedding and separate bathing facilities. One upgraded room had a shower that would not cool down, a cupboard light left on overnight and a faulty coffee machine. Another guest found carpet dirt visible for several days, while pool music can be loud during daytime.
Facilities include outdoor and children’s pools, a spa, sauna, steam room, gym, restaurants, bars, room service, kids’ activities and free Wi-Fi. Staff are overwhelmingly described as friendly, professional and responsive, and one early-arrival guest received an upgrade before the normal room time. Isolated limitations include a concierge delay, an average television without live sports, and breakfast tableware shortages.
Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is by noon, with a 24-hour front desk and advertised express options. A deposit or incidental hold may apply, and breakfast and airport transfers can cost extra. One guest reported a very high daily charge for pool-facing loungers, so pool seating arrangements and all add-on prices deserve attention before booking.
The Dubai Marina location is a major strength, with the mall, restaurants, marina walk, tram connections and beach access close by. Construction noise affected two guests, including one who found daytime rest difficult, although work stopped after a complaint in one account. The hotel suits travelers prioritizing amenities, views, shopping and service, while quiet-seeking guests should consider timing and room placement.
