Place de la Bourse Bordeaux hyper-centre
32 Rue du Cancera, Bordeaux City-Centre, 33000 Bordeaux, France
What to expect
This is a characterful one-bedroom apartment in Bordeaux’s historic center, close to Place de la Bourse, restaurants, bars, shops and major sights. Guests consistently valued the central, walkable position and many found the apartment attractive, cozy and well equipped. The accommodation suits couples or independent travelers who prioritize location and historic character over fully conventional apartment proportions.
The sleeping area is on a low mezzanine reached by a steep ladder, and several guests found the climb difficult or potentially unsuitable for people with limited mobility. Some guests also described the interior as dark. Nighttime experiences were mixed: many found it quiet, but other stays included upstairs footsteps or neighbors waking guests. A few guests reported unpleasant smells, including odor associated with bins below.
The apartment provides a kitchen, oven, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, television, heating and advertised Wi-Fi. Guests generally praised the equipment and comfort, while one reported a noisy, poorly flowing coffee machine. Bathroom experiences were mostly acceptable, but several guests found the shower control difficult or slippery, and one could not regulate the water temperature. Host responsiveness was also uneven in isolated feedback.
Self check-in and the access information were described positively, but the apartment’s pedestrian-street setting means cars cannot reach the door directly and nearby parking is paid. One account mentioned additional charges for late arrivals, extra towels, early check-in, late check-out and use of linens with the sofa bed. A separate guest considered the standard four-o’clock access time late, with earlier access available for a fee.
The central Bordeaux setting is the strongest feature, with attractions, dining and public transport within easy walking distance. The apartment is a good fit for visitors who want to explore the historic center without relying on a car. It is less suitable for guests needing step-free sleeping access, very bright interiors, highly predictable quiet, or effortless bathroom controls. Confirming the mezzanine arrangement and parking plan would help avoid surprises.
